And yes, it's true! We don't charge for features or limit your channels.
Absolutely. Our prices are so cheap that once you get the hang of configuring and managing phones we think you can make a pretty penny reselling this service to other businesses and service providers. We encourage and support you to do so. View Resellers Page.
We are a handset agnostic system, meaning you can use any SIP device. Our most preferred devices are Polycom and Yealink, as these phones act the most stable with our setup and auto-provisioning is easiest. This includes the newest Polycom firmware.
If you are using a popular model of Yealink, Polycom phone, we'll automatically configure it for you. For other models/brands contact us.
Any other company providing phone service via SIP (Skype to SIP, VoIPInnovations, etc.) is compatible with our service You can optionally support our project and use our minutes.
2600hz resells minutes from direct wholesalers only. We don't use complex LCRs or utilize carriers that resell other carriers and so on (aka - No middlemen!) We don't allow low-quality routes, "grey routes" or dialer traffic on our network at all. Unlike other carriers, this means our focus is primarily on the quality, not quantity, of our traffic.
No, the monthly fees are for hosting your PBX system, maintaining and backing it up and ensuring access to it via our high-quality datacenters and network setups. You must add either our minutes or another carrier's minutes to the system to be able to make calls to the outside world.
With that said, calls between phones and between other customers on our service are free. So if you hook-up your Mom in Brazil and your phone in the U.S. you can call each other at no charge.
E911 is not included. If you are only receiving calls on our service, E911 is not required. However, if you hookup an outbound provider you are required to enable E911 service, by law. It is your responsibility to properly route and map calls to your 911 provider!
If you use 2600hz SIP Trunks, one E911 location is included automatically.
Support isn't included – that's how we keep our costs so low. Labor is our biggest expense. If you need help configuring your phone, your system or your carrier you'll need to pay for that. You can pay per-hour at a higher rate (no contract) or you can pay a low flat-rate monthly for unlimited support (minimum 12 month contract). Contact sales@2600hz.com to discuss your options.
You can use our direct integration with Google Voice to route your calls via Google Voice if you wish. Once your account is setup on our GUI, go to the Resources section to set up your Google Voice trunks. Note that using Google Voice may result in decreased call quality as there are extra hops introduced in this method.
