How does 2600hz enhance my device?

Most devices, even ones running Android or iOS, lack the ability to do heavy computing, store data and settings in the cloud, integrate with desktop computers and so-on. In addition, most devices are limited to a single phone number, can't do provisioning or billing on the device and lack enterprise features like call menus, ring groups and call centers. By bundling the 2600hz service with your device, you're able to ship a device such as an Android power phone that can utilize Android apps while also providing standard "business telephony" functionality for the user.

What features are included?

For call handling, 2600hz provides ring groups, call center functionality, meet-me conferences, provisioning services, interactive voice menus and more. 2600hz also provides the ability for the end-user to purchase, provision and manage telephone numbers for each device. E911 can also be set by the end user. We also take care of scaling, maintaining and upgrading our cloud-based service for you, so you don't have to. This includes bundling new features on a regular basis. Check our feature page for the full list of features.

Do I have to handle billing?

Our billing software can bill client credit-cards directly. You will need to handle Tier 1 support for billing disputes but our system provides the interface to manage, credit and review accounts. You can optionally tie in your own back-office billing system as well if you don't have existing recurring or per-minute billing services.

Can we bring our own carrier services (circuits/minutes)?

Yes, you can bring your own minutes if you have existing relationships or use ours.

Are support services available?

We can offer Tier 2 and other services, tailored to each client. Please contact sales@2600hz.com for more information.

Will people know I'm using 2600hz? Can I rebrand the system?

We support and encourage white-labeling of our solution. Unlike other systems, this isn't just in the graphical user interface – even the DNS names phones and web browser use to access the service can be masked to show only your name. In this way, people won't know you're using 2600hz to offer your service. In addition, our expert graphic designers can assist you in integrating your existing logo and look & feel into our platform.

What do you mean, APIs?

APIs (or Application Programming Interfaces) are simple computing functions that let you hook up any other piece of software to our software. As an example, suppose you want your dentist scheduling software to make a reminder call to patients the day before their appointment, or pop-up a screen when people call reception. That would be possible using our open-standards APIs. APIs can also be used for configuring the system. Let's say you want to ship 2,000 phones for a large installation. You could write a simple program to call our APIs to setup the phone numbers for all 2,000 phones in about 10 lines of code.

Do we have to get our own servers? Our own datacenters?

Nope! This is what makes us unique. You have options! We can host the platform for you or you can host it yourself. If you host it with us you are always free to move your clients to your own platform in your own datacenter later on. This allows you to get started on our platform and move to your own servers later. NO LOCK IN! For most hardware manufacturers, we recommend that you focus on your strengths — manufacturing and selling devices. We'll focus on making sure they plugin and operate with high quality and the lowest setup and maintenance costs in the industry.

How do I know Kazoo is reliable?

First off, try it! We're so proud of our platform we let you hookup a device and test it out without a contract in place.
Once you're convinced of it's features, we'll give you a tour of the architecture and explain how our "Let it Crash" technology allows crashes in one location or data-center to remain isolated from other locations, allowing the system to continue operating despite issues across a datacenter, the internet or the globe.
